Questions about working with clients in Slovenia

Do you work with clients in Slovenia?

Yes. We work remotely by video call, email and WhatsApp, in the same time zone. Rijeka is less than two hours from Ljubljana, so meeting in person is easy when it helps.

How does VAT work when a Slovenian company hires a Croatian agency?

For business clients with a valid EU VAT number, we invoice without Croatian VAT under the EU reverse charge rule, and you account for the DDV in Slovenia. Your accountant will know it well.

Does my website have to be in Slovenian?

If your company is in Slovenia, or you sell to consumers there, the Public Use of the Slovene Language Act expects product information, prices and terms in Slovenian. Other languages can sit next to it. Ask your lawyer what applies to you.

Does my website have to be accessible?

Since 28 June 2025, most online shops and many digital services for consumers in Slovenia must be accessible under the European Accessibility Act. Very small service companies are exempt. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA either way. See our accessibility audit.

Can you build the website in Slovenian?

Yes, Slovenian pages are available on request. We plan them from the start, so they stay in step with the other languages.
